About St. John's and Its History
|
From the Worshipful Master September 2007
Brethren,
My brothers August is behind us and so is our GREAT VISITATION. Thanks to all the work of the officers and their studies. They all did a wonderful job. All that attended were pleased and had many great things to say. The DDGL had many nice things to say as well.
Our Clam Bake was another great time. We had a record turn out, lots of fun, lobsters, clams, oh did I say fun? Thanks to Don Stevens and the members of the Committee that worked so hard to make it all, happen.
The planning for our 275th are coming along well. We have a lot of great ideas already. It looks like a great week is planned for 2011.
We’re hoping to have the new Grille Room ready for our use for the September stated. Even still, we may not have a hot meal as the work in the Kitchen might not be finished by then.
We’ve also been thinking about starting a couples club or Wives Club to meet the same evening as the Stated meeting and to have supper with us (free) and gather for fellowship while we meet, and to plan fun functions for the group like dinner theater or bowling or other items. Let me know.
In November, the Past Masters will be doing their thing again this year under the direction of Rod Robinson, who will be calling on you to take your parts as in the past. We are looking forward to this special night. 11/24/2007.
Fraternally, Bob Sutherland
