About St. John's and Its History
|
From the Worshipful Master May 2007 Brethren,
My brothers, April was a great month,. We were so busy and now we have four new Master Masons! We were told that it was going to snow and rain and be a bad day for Special Ladies Day. Well, it held off for the most part and we had a great day with our Ladies.
This month is going to have its share of work. We have another group of three new young men that we will be working with - one from St Andrew’s Lodge. It is so nice to see that both of the Lodges are working. Now this group of new members will mean that we will have to do some work this summer, but it is worth it. We will be working their MM on a Saturday in the morning. This time, we’ll have breakfast at 8AM and then do the work starting at 9 AM. We can be on our way home by noon before it gets too warm.
June is just around the corner and that means St John’s Sunday—the 4th Sunday of the month. We are working on the band, and the Church is looking forward to our visit. Remembers that there will be a cookout at the Temple after the church service.
July we will keep work to the stated and the joint with St Andrews on the 9th for the Fellow Craft degree, for the four EAs from this month and in August we’ll do the MM.
In August we’ll also have the Clam Bake, our Annual Veterans night on the Stated, a special night for one special member, and the MM on another Saturday morning.
Fraternally, Bob Sutherland
