About Our Worshipful Master

 

Brother Haslam thanks his wife Marcie and their children Jack and Hannah for their support.

 

Wor. Bro. Thomas W. Haslam was born in Portsmouth, NH November 18, 1962. He was raised in Greenland, NH and graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1981. He graduated from Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH in 1986 with a B.S. in Business Management.

 

He has been employed as a Wholesale Building Materials Salesman for over 20 years with the same company. After having moved to Atlanta, GA in 1996 Worshipful Bro. Haslam met his future wife Marcie on an internet dating website. They were married on June 27, 1998 at the North Church in Portsmouth. They have an 18 year old son (Robert Jeremy Cole) from Marcie’s first marriage, an 8 year old daughter Hannah, and 7 year old son Jack who says we wants to be a Mason! Jeremy and his fiancée gave birth to twin boys this year and Wor. Haslam became a grandfather at the ripe old age of 45.

 

Wor. Haslam was Initiated in St. John's Lodge on November 12, 2003, Passed on December 10, 2003, and Raised on January 14, 2004. He has held the position of Senior Deacon two times, Senior Warden in 2007, and was installed as the Worshipful Master of St. John's Lodge on December 8, 2007. He is also a member of Washington Chapter – Royal Arch Masons No. 3, and Davenport Council No. 5 in Portsmouth. He is Chairman of the St. Johns Special Ladies Committee and co-Chairman of the Clambake Committee.

 

He is very active as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America and has been presented with the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Award, and the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons Adult Leadership Award for his service to youth in the Seacoast Communities. Wor. Haslam loves the outdoors and is an avid camper and sports enthusiast.
